Miss Kobayashi’s Maid Dragon S was Kyoto Animation’s first full-length anime following the devastating arson attack of 2019. Although the pain of that incident will never truly go away, with this show, this studio proved, once again, why it is one of the best in the business.
Every scene of Miss Kobayashi’s Maid Dragon S was packed with detail, color, movement, and visual excellence. And few other anime studios have demonstrated time and time again a willingness to dedicate so much life to every single shot.
It was never really a question of if this series animation would make this list.
