By the nature of its story, Odd Taxi didn’t fill itself with action set-piece after action set-peace. However, we shouldn’t measure quality animation only by flash action scenes.
Odd Taxi’s visuals had weight. Minus the anthropomorphic animals, this story’s world felt extremely real. Sure, much of that had to do with how gripping the story was and how fascinating the characters were. Still, much of the credit goes to the animation.
There was a consistent energy in this series, and Odd Taxi’s visuals really did bring that to life.
