Read Anime Hajime’s review of Komi Can’t Communicate

It is impossible not to fall for Komi Can’t Communicate’s titular Shouko Komi. Aside from freaking adorable she could be, Shouko was giving it all she had.

Although Komi Can’t Communicate could be hilarious, there was nothing funny about Shouko’s situation. She really did want to better herself; her inability to talk to others was not something she wanted in her life. 

Therefore, Shouko would constantly push against her comfort zone. Sometimes she would succeed; other times, she would fail. But she never gave up. 

That determination was what allowed Shouko to become one of the year’s best characters.
