The Napoleon of Crime will never be the good guy, but in Moriarty the Patriot, the eternal rival to the famed Sherlock Holmes becomes a lot more heroic.
What makes “Twisted Hearts” so memorable is how sad it comes across. There is a lingering tragedy within this melody; a melody that exists in a world of violence and deception. Thus, it is a fitting opening for a series that was not afraid to go dark and menacing.
Admittedly, this isn’t one of the best Sherlock Holmes stories, but this song might make you think otherwise.
