On the surface, Wonder Egg Priority looks like a whimsical series; the colors are bright, and the visuals come off as quite calming. But soon, the same animation that worked so well on a peaceful level took this series where it wanted to go when things turned dark.
Sure, the action sequences in Wonder Egg Priority were flashy and epic, but this show’s animation was at its best when the story turned – at times – sad and – at other times – gruesome.
Wonder Egg Priority demonstrated the versatility of animation.
