Episode 4 – “Lady & Gentleman” – April 23, 2022
Shinobu Miki reveals the true president of Sith Magic, Lady & Gentleman. However, this new opponent reveals themselves as a digital avatar. Seeing that her role is done, Shinobu walks off with barely a goodbye.
Lady & Gentleman fawns over Light Tenryu and has an immense amount of information surrounding our hero and his friends. Lady & Gentleman’s attitude is so over the top that Light is unsure whether he likes this person. The only way he will know for sure is by playing Shadowverse.
As the match begins, Lady & Gentleman takes an early lead but – like Shinobu – helps Light grow more familiar with the game. After a few rounds, Light starts to like his opponent. Light utter lack of concern and overwhelming friendship throw Lady & Gentleman off balance.
Despite having just beaten Light through Shinobu, Lady & Gentleman is on the ropes.
The last sentence in the previous section is kind of the point, isn’t it?
Light had just lost to Shinobu, who was taking orders from this rabbit. And yet, Light is most likely going to win this match. For someone who has never played Shadowverse before, Light is proving to be a natural master of the game.
Also, the levels of Light’s optimism are quickly getting on my nerves – if they haven’t already. This series is so slow (keep in mind this is only episode four) that our protagonist’s personality is, like, reason seven why this series is falling apart.
