The Set-Up
Mannequins are inherently creepy (you can’t convince me otherwise), so this episode had a pretty strong foundation right off the bat.
Now, given the incredibly short lengths of Yamishibai episodes, it would do a viewer well to suspend their disbelief; things and this series has a tendency to escalate quickly. Therefore, when one of the characters loses it, he goes from calm to panic in less time than it takes to blink.
That said, there was one moment in this episode that was rather disturbing. There have been plenty of times throughout Yamishibai’s run that has made me feel uncomfortable. I got another of those instances.
