The Set-Up
Even in this season, Yamishibai can pull off a satisfying twist in a short amount of time. This was not one of those instances.
For one, it wasn’t hard to guess what direction this story was going to go in. Remember, this is season ten. By this point, I have a pretty solid idea of how this show operates.
And still, the revelation at the end of this episode came off as hollow. There was no bite, surprise, or cleverness to it.
