Episode 2 – “Forced to travel with Carla, a healer…” – April 17, 2022

Episode Summary
The knight Alvin and the healer Carla set out on their first mission to gather herbs. Although this is a beginner-level quest, it quickly becomes far more complex – or from Alvin’s perspective, incredibly frustrating.
First, the pair comes to a dark forest full of ghosts. The spirits are most just spoopy, but Alvin has no idea how to fight them. Carla suggests appeasing the ghost’s souls, which does work (mainly by Carla comparing the ghost’s troubles with Alvin’s laughable lack of experience).

After the forest, the two come across a simple goblin trap – because Alvin walked straight into it. With help from the very goblins who set the damn thing, an embarrassed Alvin manages to free himself.
The pattern repeats for the rest of the day: There’s an obstacle, Alvin tries his best, Carla ridicules him, and the task at hand isn’t all that challenging. Alvin wishes he could just ditch this pain-in-the-butt healer, but thanks to the curse she accidentally placed on him, that is simply not an option.

Episode Impressions
It would be no fun if I outlined every detail of each episode. Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer has so far proven to be immensely entertaining – in the silliest way possible.
This series has a beautiful goofiness that makes it something to truly look forward to each week.
Incidentally, Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer is looking like the type of anime that will forgo an overarching plot. Instead, it will focus on building up the personalities of its two lead characters. And from what I have seen so far, I have no problem with that prospect.
Yes, this show is dumb, but that is not always a bad thing.
